CSU-Pueblo News Brief: Journalists, Advisor earn Awards

The Colorado State University-Pueblo TODAY’s Summer 2010 magazine, which included the Reporting Public Affairs supplement on Poverty in Pueblo, won second place in the Best Student Magazine category for Region IX of the Society of Professional Journalists Colorado Chapter Mark of Excellence Awards, which includes universities across Colorado, Wyoming, Utah and New Mexico.

TODAY Advisor  Richard Joyce won a third place award in personal column writing for the columns he writes for the Redstone Review in Lyons, Colo. Joyce competed in the Print Division C, which includes all publications with circulations up to 10,000 – this is a highly competitive class that includes the Durango Herald, Evergreen Newspapers, Law Week Colorado and New Mexico Business Weekly.
