Scholarships are available to both undergraduate and graduate students based on academic merit, financial need, and/or other criteria. They do not have to be repaid unless eligibility requirements are not met.
CSU-Pueblo offers a variety of institutional scholarships through our institutional scholarship application. Please note, however, to receive full consideration for all CSU-Pueblo scholarships (including the First Generation and Centennial Scholarships - see below) as well as institutional grants, a student must apply by completing the CSU-Pueblo Scholarship Application by March 1st each year. Recipients are selected by various committees.
First Generation Scholarships are competitive, need-based scholarships for students who are the first in their family to attend college and graduate with a 4 year degree.
Centennial Scholarships are competitive, non-need based scholarships awarded to students with a high school GPA of at least 3.5.
Both of these scholarships require completion of the CSU-Pueblo Scholarship Application by the priority deadline of March 1st each year for full consideration.

Impact on Financial Aid
As a direct resource, scholarships are a part of the student's financial aid package. If the student's financial need is already met at the time of scholarship notification, other aid may be reduced or cancelled. Pell grants are never reduced as a result of a scholarship. See How Aid is Determined under General Policies for more information.
