Scholarships

Student at Life Sciences BldgScholarships are available based on academic merit, financial need, and/or other criteria.  They do not have to be repaid unless eligibility requirements are not met.  There are scholarships available to both undergraduate and graduate students.

CSU-Pueblo offers a number of Institutional Scholarships.  To receive full consideration for these CSU-Pueblo scholarships, a student must apply by March 1st each year (prior to that academic year's fall semester).
If a student misses the priority deadline, we encourage them to still apply, as there is still a possibility of receiving scholarship funds if a matching candidate is not found among those who met the priority deadline.

Please note: A student must also complete this application to be eligible for any CSU-Pueblo grants.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many scholarships does CSU-Pueblo offer?
CSU-Pueblo offers more than 100 scholarships internally.  See the full list PDF file.

Can I apply for other scholarships as well as CSU-Pueblo Scholarships?
We strongly encourage students to apply for both CSU-Pueblo scholarships as well as other scholarships outside of CSU-Pueblo.  Places of employment, local and national businesses, community and national organizations are just a few places to search.  There is also a scholarship search available through www.college.gov, as well as other valuable college planning information.

Are all scholarship offers or websites legitimate?
Estimates show that families lose millions of dollars to scholarship fraud every year.  Here are some statements you should look for in a potential scholarship scam:

  • “The scholarship is guaranteed or your money back.”
  • “You can’t get this information anywhere else.”
  • “I just need your credit card or bank account number to hold this scholarship.”
  • “We’ll do all the work.”
  • “The scholarship will cost some money.”
  • “You’ve been selected by a ‘national foundation’ to receive a scholarship.”
  • “You’re a finalist” in a contest you never entered.
