Withdrawal Policy
If you must stop attending all of your classes for any reason, you should officially withdraw from the university by visiting or calling Student Academic Services.

Students who withdraw from the University during the drop/add period will receive a 100% tuition refund, have all courses removed from their academic transcript, and be required to repay all financial aid funds for that semester.

If you withdraw from the University after the drop/add period, the law states that the amount of federal student aid program assistance you have “earned” up to the point of withdrawal must be determined by a specific formula. If you received more assistance than you earned, the excess funds must be returned.

The amount of assistance you’ve earned is determined on a pro-rata basis. That is, if you completed 30 percent of the semester, you earned 30 percent of the assistance you were originally scheduled to receive. Once you’ve completed more than 60 percent of semester, you earn all of your assistance.

Students who do not complete the official withdrawal process will potentially receive all failing grades on their transcript. Students with all failing grades at the end of each semester will be required repay their unearned student aid based on 50 percent unless they can prove that they attended class past 60 percent of the semester.
