Entrance/Exit Counseling

Both loan entrance and exit counseling are requirements under federal default reduction regulations. Entrance Counseling – If you have borrowed a Stafford Loan for the first time with CSU- Pueblo, entrance counseling is required per federal regulations. The counseling explains your rights and responsibilities and the terms and conditions of your loan. Entrance counseling is required prior to release of loan funds. Exit Counseling – Exit counseling must be conducted shortly before a borrower ceases at least half-time study. The exit counseling concentrates on your repayment obligation and options. It also stresses the consequences of default. If you have borrowed Stafford loans, Exit Counseling is required per federal regulation.
