Community Partner Speaker Series

The Community Partner Speaker Series hosted by RAGE began last fall and has led to some very meaningful partnerships with local organizations.  RAGE has received positive feedback from the community organizations and faculty members who have developed projects following the presentations. The community leaders that have presented to faculty, staff, and students include:

  • Mr. Gene Michael, Director – City of Pueblo Wastewater Department
  • Mr. Rich Werner, Vice President – Pueblo Economic Development Corporation (PEDCO)
  • Mr. John Batey, Executive Director – Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority (PURA)
These organizations are always looking for new ways to engage with the campus community; if you missed these exciting presentations and would like to explore partnership opportunities, please contact Shanna at shanna.farmer@colostate-pueblo.edu or 549.2691.  Any suggestions for future Community Partner Speaker Series presenters are always welcome.

CORE Updates

Community Outreach, Research, & Engagement (CORE) is in the process of forming a steering committee to help identify the mission and goals of CORE.  CORE is a grassroots effort of faculty, staff and students to identify, develop, expand, and promote community engagement activities on the CSU-Pueblo campus. If you are interested in finding more about CORE or getting involved, contact Shanna Farmer at shanna.farmer@colostate-pueblo.edu or 549-2691.
