Colorado State University-Pueblo, along with representatives from the Greater Pueblo Chamber and the Latino Chamber of Commerce, conducted a grand opening ceremony unveiling The Neta and Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl Stadium on Friday, Aug. 29, 2008. The ThunderWolves played the inaugural college football contest in the new stadium versus Panhandle State on Sat., Sept. 6, 2008.

The Neta and Eddie DeRose Thunderbowl Stadium is a $13.6 million project funded by donations from Friends of Football.  The facility will feature:

  • Artificial turf field
  • VIP and general seating
  • Training facility
  • State-of-the-art weight room
  • Locker rooms
  • 9 lane all-weather track
  • Track/Field event pits
  • Field House
  • Meeting rooms
