Intl. Grant Eligibility Requirements

  1. International Students must attend ORIENTATION  prior to beginning classes.
  2. Be in-status by IMMIGRATION LAW with F-1 Visa
  3. Complete INS Transfer form verifying good INS status at your previous American school (if necessary).
  4. Maintain *full-time enrollment and a 2.5 cumulative (minimum) grade point average.
    • Undergraduate Students  -  successful completion of 12 credit hours, minimally per semester
    • Graduate Students  - successful completion of  nine credit hours, minimally per semester
    • Graduate credits must apply toward prerequisite and core courses only.
  5. The Intl. Grant is available for the first consecutive Fall and Spring semesters(no grant in summer).  The grant increases with class standing.

Assistantships

Graduate assistantships available in Applied Natural Science, Master in Business Administration and Industrial and System Engineering departments.

All assistantships are awarded by the appropriate academic department based upon available funding, strength of the student’s academic record, and existing financial need.

Employment Information

Employment options for international students are limited.  Securing a position on or off campus cannot be guaranteed and is subject to existing BCIS laws.  In order to obtain off campus employment permission, a student must be in good INS standing for minimally one-year before becoming eligible to apply for an off-campus work permit.
