Asst. Director of International Programs & NSC Coordinator is available to evaluate foreign credentials following receipt of an application with fee.  For this service, please contact Hedi Laino.

Transfer Credits

CSU-Pueblo will consider granting transfer credit for studies which are equivalent to university level in the United States.  Before credit can be given, documentation must be received in the form of an official transcript showing grades for each course studied each term from previous institutions.

All educational credentials must have an official school seal. Copies of original documents must be authenticated by the school after being photo copied.

Evaluating international credentials is very difficult without necessary information.  Therefore, students are strongly encouraged to  provide a syllabus, in English which describes each course  studied each term. Failure to provide syllabi may cause registration problems and improper course selection.  To prevent these problems, please assist us by providing as much information as possible.  Visit the Assistant Director of International Admissions, for more information on this topic. For appointment, please call (719) 549-2764 or e-mail Heidi.laino@colostate-pueblo.edu.

English Placement Exam

All new students are required to participate in an English placement exam upon arrival at CSU-Pueblo.  The exam will be administered on the first day of orientation. Those students with lower scores will be required to enroll for a remedial English class within the first semester of study unless comparable English credit is transferable toward degree completion at CSU-Pueblo (please refer to Transfer Credits). A math and/or reading test may also be required.

The English exam is utilized to promote academic success within our international student population only, and the results do not hinder admittance into the university.  However, no exceptions will be made to the above mandate and academic advisors will be notified accordingly.
