Oversight Committee

SPOC is charged with the responsibility for: (1) developing annually the standard format and reporting procedures for each institutional unit, subject to approval of the president; (2) reviewing on an annual basis the strategic planning reports from each of the institutional units; (3) preparing a report that analyzes those institutional reports; (4) ensuring that the unit’s assessment findings are documented for University goals; and (5) providing the president, vice presidents and Strategic Budget Advisory Council with recommendations relative to implementation and changes to the Strategic Plan.

SPOC consists of the following 13 members (9 rotating and 4 ex-officio members) with representation from campus units as indicated below:

Strategic Plan Oversight Committee: Membership Guidelines

The Strategic Plan Oversight Committee consists of 13 members (9 rotating and 4 ex-officio members) with representation from individual campus units as indicated below.

Rotating members serve 2-year terms of service subject to the following conditions:

• approximately half the rotating members should end their term of service in any given calendar year;
• individuals should serve at most two consecutive 2-year terms (for a maximum total of 4 consecutive years);
• individuals who have served two consecutive 2-year terms may be re-appointed after a two-year hiatus from service.
