Q. Can I attend New Student Orientation if I have not been admitted to CSU-Pueblo?
A. No, you must be admitted to CSU-Pueblo before you can attend a New Student Orientation program.


Q. How can I sign up for a New Student Orientation program?
A. To register for a New Student Orientation program, e-mail us at
orientation@colostate-pueblo.edu, complete a registration form, call (719) 549-2584, or drop by First-Year Center (Library 2nd floor).

Q. Where do I check in?
A. Students and parents will check in between 9 and 9:30 a.m. in the lobby of the Life Science Building.


Q. Can my parent(s) or a guest(s) attend New Student Orientation?
A. Yes, parents and guests are welcome to attend.


Q. What are the costs for New Student Orientation?
A. Students and guests attend the one-day program at no cost.

A. Here are some of the many reasons:

  • Learn more about CSU-Pueblo’s academic programs

Q. Why should my parents attend orientation?
A. They will have an opportunity to learn more about CSU-Pueblo’s academic programs and the many services available to students, as well as meet university officials and other CSU-Pueblo parents.


Q. Do I have to attend New Student Orientation?
A. Yes. Attendance at New Student Orientation is an essential part of your education at CSU-Pueblo. Plus, you need to attend in order to receive your fall 2006 schedule of courses.


Q. Will I meet with an academic adviser?
A. Yes, all students will have an opportunity to meet with their academic adviser to discuss their schedule.


Q. When do I register for classes?
A. All students will register for their classes after meeting with their adviser.


Q. When can I purchase my student ID card?
A. Student ID cards can be purchased in the Auxiliary Services office in the Occhiato University Center (next to the bookstore) during the lunch period or after you have registered for classes.


Q. When can I purchase my parking permit and how much do they cost?
A. You can purchase your parking permit in the Auxiliary Services office in the Occhiato University Center (next to the bookstore) during the lunch period or after you have registered for classes. The permanent/nontransferable tag costs $50.00, and the transferable tag costs $75.00)


Q. Is there anything I need to bring with me to New Student Orientation?
A. You are encouraged to bring any documents, including your final transcript or Immunization Records, that you have not yet submitted to CSU-Pueblo.
