PUEBLO – A new automatic merit scholarship program at Colorado State University-Pueblo will eliminate the waiting game for many high school seniors who are making decisions about attending college in Fall of 2014.

Incoming freshmen for Fall 2014 at CSU-Pueblo who meet two of the three minimum academic requirements based on a completed admissions application will have their choice of one of the following undergraduate scholarships. No additional application is required. The scholarships are renewable for up to three additional years if the student maintains the required minimum renewal grade point average.

In addition to the new scholarship tiers, the University announced last week (August 29) a major renovation and addition to the Occhiato University Center and the addition of intercollegiate sports programs (men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field, and women’s swimming and diving) thanks in part to a three-year, $25 million campaign by the CSU-Pueblo Foundation.

“At CSU-Pueblo, we strive to provide ways to become even more attractive to our prospective students,” said CSU-Pueblo President Lesley Di Mare. “Research and engagement opportunities, new facilities, and an expanded sports array combined with a diverse student population and affordable cost make CSU-Pueblo a fabulous higher education institution.”
