Colorado State University - Pueblo Alumni Association Announces New Board Members

PUEBLO – The Colorado State University-Pueblo Alumni Association has announced its board of directors for 2013-14.  The Alumni Association enhances the relationship among alumni, the university and the community.

Matt Centner, a 2002 mass communications graduate, will serve as board president.  Centner is an account executive with Comcast Spotlight and recently received the company’s President’s Club Award for outstanding sales performance and achievement in 2012.  Joining Centner on the executive committee are: Jennifer Mravich, A08 and A10, vice-president, currently vice president of marketing with Power Credit Union; Lydia Martinez, A09, treasurer, team manager with the Pueblo Service Center of State Farm Insurance; and Mark Gregory, A89, at-large, agent, Mark Gregory Insurance Agency, Inc./State Farm Insurance; Chad Heberly, A04, will serve on the executive committee as past-president, Heberly is an agency business consultant with Farmers Insurance.

The Alumni Board is comprised of volunteers with diverse backgrounds and fields of expertise.  Other board members returning this year are: Judy Hildner, A70, retired Pueblo Chieftain sports editor; Brett Holland, A10, agent, State Farm Insurance; Sandy Romero, A85, communications manager, Bechtel; Dr. Donna Wofford, honorary, CSU-Pueblo associate dean of nursing.

New additions to this year’s alumni board are Vanessa Emerson, current CSU-Pueblo Associated Students’ Government president; Richard Joyce, A81, associate professor of mass communications, Colorado State University – Pueblo; Rich Mestas, A98, chief academic officer, Goal Academy; and Carol Rickman,  A83, medical technologist at St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center.  Rickman is also known as the mother of “Tundra,” CSU-Pueblo’s beloved mascot.
