Colorado State University – Pueblo hosts networking mixer and career fair
PUEBLO – Colorado State University-Pueblo will host nearly 50 local, regional, state, and national employers expected to offer employment to new college graduates at its annual Spring Career Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6 in the Occhiato University Center.
“The Career Fair will be of special interest to all CSU-Pueblo students-not just seniors,” said Michelle B. Gjerde, the director of the Career Center. “Alumni and seniors can talk to recruiters about full-time professional opportunities. Juniors and sophomores can use this opportunity to find out about internships and summer employment. First-year and sophomore students can explore future career opportunities in their majors,” said Gjerde.
As a lead-in to the Career Fair, the CSU-Pueblo Alumni Association and the Career Center will host a networking reception for graduating students to meet with business leaders in our community, (including many CSU-Pueblo alumni). The Student to Community Networking Mixer will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5 in the Occhiato University Center Hearthwell Lounge. There is no cost to attend and all students who participate will be entered to win an IPad Mini. Business dress is encouraged. Current students, alumni, employees of the University, and members of the Pueblo community are welcome to attend this free event.
“We think this is an excellent lead-in to the Career Fair,” said Alumni Director Tracy Samora, “and will give students the opportunity to network with members of our community in a more relaxed setting.”
