Colorado State University-Pueblo Foundation Joins National #GivingTuesday Movement
PUEBLO – The CSU-Pueblo Foundation has joined #GivingTuesday, a fundraising effort that will harness the collective power of partners to transform how people think about, talk about, and participate in the giving season.
Coinciding with the Thanksgiving Holiday and the kickoff of the holiday shopping season, #GivingTuesday will inspire people to take collaborative action to improve their local communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they support and help create a better world. Taking place December 3, 2013 – the Tuesday after Thanksgiving – #GivingTuesday will harness the power of social media to create a national moment around the holidays dedicated to giving, similar to how Black Friday and Cyber Monday have become days that are, today, synonymous with holiday shopping.
The gifts of knowledge and education last a lifetime. By contributing to the CSU-Pueblo Foundation, individuals can help students open new doors to a future they would not have known without a college degree. #GivingTuesday gifts are important because they provide resources that will have an immediate impact on students – whether it’s through scholarships or program enhancements. In addition, every gift made will go towards “On the Move,” the $25 million capital campaign that will strengthen the university through additional scholarships, new athletic offerings, and capital improvements.
Partners and friends of the University are invited and encouraged to join the CSU-Pueblo Foundation on #GivingTuesday. By giving to what you love at Colorado State University-Pueblo, you are opening doors to students and believing in the future CSU-Pueblo! The CSU-Pueblo Foundation has set a goal to raise $5,000 on #GivingTuesday, December 3, 2013.
