A Blast from the Past hits Colorado State University - Pueblo Homecoming 2012
PUEBLO – Former and current students of Southern Colorado Junior College, Pueblo Junior College, Southern Colorado State College, the University of Southern Colorado, and Colorado State University – Pueblo are encouraged to return to campus Oct. 1-6 for a Blast from the Past with a series of activities planned by the CSU-Pueblo Alumni Association and the Office of Student Activities.
The Alumni Association has moved its annual Reunion on Union all-class reunion to Homecoming Week. For the ninth year, the Pueblo Union Depot will be the site of Reunion on Union, 132 W B St. From 5-8 p.m. For more information or to RSVP, call Tracy Samora, director of alumni relations, at 719-549-2858 or email alumni@colostate-pueblo.edu.
Throughout the week, the Office of Student Activities will coordinate a variety of events to increase school spirit including election of Homecoming royalty as well as a pep rally and bonfire. The Classified Staff Council and the Office of External Affairs are coordinating a door decorating contest throughout campus as well.
On Friday (Oct. 5), a pep rally and bonfire will immediately follow the volleyball game in the dirt lot between the Student Recreation Field and the water towers (8:15 p.m.) and will feature student athletes and the melodies of the CSU-Pueblo Marching Band. At 9 p.m., Powder Puff Football will begin at 9:30 p.m. at the Student Recreation Field.
Saturday (Oct. 6) begins with a Welcome Back Breakfast for Alumni and Parents in the newly relocated Alumni Office, Occhiato University Center 111. Self-guided tours of campus also will be available. An alumni/community tailgate will begin at noon beneath the red tent near the stadium. The Homecoming Parade will begin at1:15 p.m. in the Residence Hall Oval and proceed to the stadium past the tailgate area. The third-ranked ThunderWolf football team takes the field versus Chadron State at 2 p.m.

Neon Day: Free tie-dye shirts, glow bracelets, and zinc oxide stripes

Parade, 1:15 p.m., Starting Residence Hall Oval. The CSU-Pueblo Marching Band will make its way to the ThunderBowl, and we invite everyone to follow them to show off our ThunderWolf Pride.
Football Game vs. Chadron State, 2 p.m., Neta and Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl, Royalty presentation at half time.
