Colorado State University - Pueblo students host  Ordinary Mortals triathlon April 15

PUEBLO - Twenty years ago, the Ordinary Mortals Triathlon was established in Pueblo, but has since been out of service for the last 10 years. Ordinary Mortals is making a comeback thanks to coordination by Exercise Science and Health Promotion students at Colorado State University-Pueblo.
Ordinary Mortals triathlon and duathlon events for adults and children will be held on the CSU-Pueblo campus beginning at 9 a.m. on Sunday, April 15. The triathlon/duathlon format is what makes this event unique. Accurate chip timing will be conducted by Summit Management; a Mini Mortals triathlon for children 15 and under will begin at noon. Awards will be given out to overall and age group winners for adult and youth triathlon.  Only top three  male/females will be awarded in the duathlon event.

The adult triathlon includes a 3.1 mile run, 12.5 mile bike, 300-yard serpentine pool swim, and a run to the finish. The duathlon ends with a 2.5 mile run instead of the swim. Cost for the adult event is $50 per person. Show a previous USAT membership (USA Triathlon) or pay $12 day pass for the event. A map of the adult course is available at: while the youth course may be found at For additional information, visit the Ordinary Mortals website at .
