Colorado State University - Pueblo on display at the Colorado State Fair, Aug. 26-Sept. 5
PUEBLO – For the second year, Colorado State University-Pueblo will have a presence at the Colorado State Fair in the former Natural Resources Building inside Gate 2 off Arroyo Avenue. CSU-Fort Collins, CSU-Pueblo, CSU Extension, and 4-H, the Colorado State Forest Service, and the alumni associations of both schools will be featured throughout the 11-day run of the Fair, August 26-Sept. 5.
In addition to providing information about admissions and alumni activities, representatives will be on hand with fall athletic schedules and special photography and activities. Building hours will be noon- 8 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m.-9 p.m. on weekends. CSU's building at the State Fair in Pueblo boasts 12,000 square feet of space that houses 4-H and youth activities and showcases CSU's statewide agencies, displays, and other programs. All activities are free and open to the public.

A large portion of the space inside the Colorado State University Building will be dedicated to 4-H and youth activities, including the popular archery range. 4-H has been in Colorado for more than a century and serves as an educational program for the nation’s youth.
Imprinted Sportswear again will operate a gift shop where visitors can purchase apparel and gifts for both CSU campuses. The store will be open the following hours during the run of the Fair:
Monday- Friday, 4-7 p.m.; Saturday, Noon-7 p.m., and Sunday, 1-7 p.m.
As part of the 11-day Colorado State Fair, the CSU-Pueblo Alumni Association will host a reception prior to ThunderWolves Night at the Rodeo on Tuesday, August 30. Tickets for this event are $5 per person and include gate admission to the Colorado State Fair and rodeo and the alumni reception, which begins at 5 p.m., prior to the evening’s rodeo performance. Attendees will receive premier seating near the chutes at the PRCA RAM Rodeo, which begins at 7 p.m.
The Fair will provide free rodeo tickets to the first 500 students, but gate admission, carnival rides, and other rodeo tickets are available at $1 each. Students can pick up free tickets to the Fair in OUC 003 or in the Great Hall on Tuesday, Aug. 23 or Wednesday at the Involvement Fair from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the MyCSU-Pueblo Table. One per student ID or until quantities last.
