PUEBLO - The Colorado State University-Pueblo Alumni Association will host two events over the next month to nurture relationships between graduates, the community, and the University.

As part of the 11-day Colorado State Fair, the CSU-Pueblo Alumni Association will host a reception prior to ThunderWolves Night at the Rodeo on Tuesday, August 30.

Tickets for this event are $5 per person and include gate admission to the Colorado State Fair and rodeo and the alumni reception, which begins at 5 p.m., prior to the evening’s rodeo performance. Attendees will receive premier seating near the chutes at the PRCA RAM Rodeo, which begins at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, Sept. 10, the CSU-Pueblo Alumni Association will join forces with Friends of Football to sponsor the first tailgate party of the football season in advance of the ThunderWolves opening home contest versus Northwestern Oklahoma State at the Neta and Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl.  Tailgate will begin at 4:30 p.m. and will include food and drinks for $6 per person.  Kickoff for the football game is 6 p.m. Clear Channel’s KPHT-FM will sponsor a live remote at the event, and post-game fireworks also are scheduled.

Tickets for the rodeo must be reserved and paid in advance by calling Director of Alumni Relations Tracy Samora at 719-549-2858 or e-mailing
