PUEBLO –  Colorado State University-Pueblo will join VDAY 2011, a global effort to stop violence against women and girls with two performances of the Vagina Monologues Friday,  Feb. 4.

Student organization Voices of Empowerment will raise funds and awareness to end violence against women and girls with a performance of The Vagina Monologues at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4 in Hoag Recital Hall. Doors open at 7 p.m. Admission is $7 for faculty, staff, and community members and $5 for CSU-Pueblo students with proceeds benefitting the Pueblo Rape Crisis Center.

The Vagina Monologues consists of a varying number of monologues read by CSU-Pueblo students and faculty (initially, Eve Ensler performed every monologue herself, with subsequent performances featuring three actresses, and more recent versions featuring a different actress for every role).
