Colorado State University - Pueblo offers Second Saturdays Sessions this Spring, Summer

PUEBLO – Representatives from across the Colorado State University-Pueblo campus will be available on four second Saturdays this spring and summer to guide new and continuing students, transfers, non-traditional students, and graduate students through the registration and application processes.

Streamlined registration and application sessions will be held from 9 a.m. - noon on April 10, May 8, July 10, and August 14 in the CSU-Pueblo Visitor and Transfer Center, Administration 201.

According to Joe Marshall, assistant vice president for enrollment management, students may take advantage of the days to complete a variety of processes, including registering for classes, applying for admission, checking financial aid status, touring campus facilities, or making on-campus housing arrangements. Students interested in applying should bring with them official transcripts and ACT/SAT scores.

“Second Saturdays are part of a continuing effort to make the campus more accessible to the community,” Marshall said.  “We recognize that our traditional days and hours of operation may not always address the needs of our current and future students, so we’re experimenting with a variety of formats and times in hopes of learning to better serve our student population.”

In addition to assistance provided for fall semester enrollment, CSU-Pueblo also will help students sign up for the new summer Jump Start program. The Jump Start Program is a fully integrated summer program where students will live on campus and earn up to nine credits of coursework, all for the low price of $2,000. That flat fee is for residents and non-residents alike and includes everything necessary to be a student at CSU-Pueblo – courses, housing, meals, books, and a series of summer outdoor experiences.

For more information, call the Visitor and Transfer Center at 549-2418 or just stop by the day of the event as no pre-registration is necessary.
