Steve Titus re-elected as Steve Titus re-elected as ASG President
PUEBLO – Current Colorado State University-Pueblo Associated Students’ Government (ASG) President Steve Titus was re-elected for the 2010-11 academic year as part of ASG elections held April 5-7. Election results were tallied and finalized April 7.
Participating parties were the current “Livegreen” party and their challenger, the “Revamp” party. Aside from one “Revamp” candidate being elected, all offices went to the Livegreen” party.
This year’s election also saw the largest voter turnout in the 77-year history of the University with 1,117 students casting votes throughout the three-day election, surpassing the previous record of 1,063 votes cast in 1983.
The “Livegreen” platform stands for, “Legit, Innovative, Vigorous, Energetic, Generous, Reliable, Educated, Environmental, and Nonstop.” The party’s top priorities included reviving the spring concert, initiating a comprehensive recycling program and bi-weekly pay for campus jobs, creating a student activities advisory board, renovating sports facilities, and improving campus technology, customer satisfaction with campus dining, campus safety, and parking.
