Colorado State University - Pueblo seeks submissions on Hispanic cultural experience
PUEBLO – As Hispanic Heritage Month at Colorado State University-Pueblo nears its end, the Department of English and Foreign Languages invites students, faculty, staff, and members of the community to create a literary showcase through submission of poetry, short stories, or essays that translate the diversity of the “Hispanic Cultural Experience.”
According to Assistant Professor Alegria Ribadeneira, the Hispanic cultural experience is broad, and the University wants to make the most of Pueblo’s rich Hispanic background, which touches the lives of every member of the community in some way.
Submissions, which should not exceed 1,800 words, will be accepted through Dec. 15. Selected pieces will be published on a web-based magazine. Submissions are accepted in English, Spanish and Spanglish. Participants are asked to include their name or pen name, and a short biography. Submissions should be sent via e-mail to hispanicexperience@colostate-pueblo.edu or mailed to:
