Colorado State University-Pueblo students will have an opportunity to explore dozens of options in September when the CSU-Pueblo Career Center will host its annual Internship and Job Fair. Local, regional, and national companies representing a wide range of industries are being sought for the September 22 event.
The third annual Internship and Job Fair will be held on Tuesday, September 22 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and is open to CSU-Pueblo students and alumni. Employers must be willing to accept resumes for consideration for employment and internship opportunities, and to discuss career options and opportunities with students of all majors and academic levels. Students attending will learn about hiring trends, the types of skills employers are looking for, and what to expect from the interview process.
Internship Coordinator Tanya Baird said this is perfect timing for employers who may be making decisions for summer internships. “Too many students wait until the last minute to decide to do an internship. However, to insure they land a successful opportunity, students need to begin the process at a minimum one semester prior to the internship.”
“The great thing about this event,” said Baird “is that employers and students have an opportunity to meet face-to-face in a casual setting. We continue to hear from businesses that voice their concern about reaching qualified applicants in our local area and we have an exceptional pool of more than 5,000 right here on our campus!”
