CSU–Pueblo offers Band Discover Day to students

The Department of Music at Colorado State University-Pueblo will offer a Band Discovery Day on Tuesday, April 14 to introduce current and prospective students to the numerous opportunities available for music performance.

Interested students may meet the music faculty, listen to student performances, audition for the Department of Music, learn about the new Thunderwolf Marching Band, and attend a wind ensemble rehearsal and concert. Students may attend one activity or stay for the entire day.

A complete schedule follows:

8:30 a.m. Check in Music Building Lobby
9-9:30 a.m., Meet and Greet with Music Faculty
9:30-10 a.m., Tour Music Facilities
10-11:30 p.m., Tour Campus
11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m., Complimentary lunch (for all day participants)
1 – 1:50 p.m., Performance Symposium – Hoag Hall
• CSU-Pueblo music students perform for each other
1:50 p.m. – 3:30 p.m., Question and Answer Session – Hoag Hall Lobby
• Meet the Band Director and have your questions answered
3:30 – 5 p.m., Observe a Wind Ensemble Rehearsal, Hoag Hall
7:30 p.m., Free Wind Ensemble Concert in Hoag Hall

Scholarship incentives are available to qualified wind, percussion, and colorguard students interested in performing with the brand new ThunderWolves Marching Band starting Fall 2009!
