Colorado State University-Pueblo earned three awards including the top single television ad in its size category as part of the 24th annual Admissions Advertising Awards, sponsored by the Admissions Marketing Report. The Admissions Advertising Awards is the largest educational advertising awards competition in the country. This year, more than 2,000 entries were received from more than 1,000 colleges, universities, and secondary schools from all 50 states and several foreign countries.
CSU-Pueblo was one of 239 schools to receive a Gold Award, placing first in the Television Advertising/Single Ad (school with 2,000-4,999) category. The :30 ad, produced by the production team at New First 5/30, featured CSU-Pueblo President Joseph Garcia inviting prospective students to Find Themselves Here and to join the University as it grows and transforms.
The University received Awards of Merit for its Total Recruitment Package, created in cooperation with Amelie Company out of Denver, as well as the Magazine Advertising/Single Ad, both in 2,000-4,999 enrollment category. The winning advertisement, designed by Cora Zaletel and Jim Bowman in the Office of External Affairs, has appeared in numerous publications, most recently on the back cover of the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce’s Images Magazine. It highlights students and faculty in various activities, promoting the University’s competitive spirit, hands-on learning, personal attention, and supportive environment. The CSU-Pueblo offices of Admissions and External Affairs partnered with Amelie Company to create a three-piece Recruitment Package, which can be personalized based on where the prospective student lives (Colorado, Texas, surrounding state, etc.)
