Colorado State University - Pueblo hosts immigration reform vigil on December 18
PUEBLO – The Chicano Studies program at Colorado State University-Pueblo and student organization Voices of Empowerment will sponsor a candlelight vigil as part of a national day of action this week to bring awareness and show support for the immigration reform movement.
December 18 is a national day of action for the Reform Immigration FOR American coalition. Thousands of supporters and believers in the cause that our immigration system is broken and comprehensive immigration reform is the solution will be uniting to bring awareness and show support for the movement that will pass comprehensive immigration reform for America in 2010.
The University’s event will be from 7-8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 18 in the Occhiato University Center Ballroom.
The candlelight vigil will honor all those that have suffered unjustly at the hands of the current immigration policies, light the path for comprehensive immigration reform, and share the path that will lead us to the signing of Comprehensive Immigration Reform by May 1, 2010!
