The art exhibition currently on display in the Fine Art Gallery at Colorado State University-Pueblo features several pieces of ceramic work by Kansas State University Professor Yoshiro Ikeda and four of his graduate students - Machiko Yamazaki, Susan Nam, Amanda Small, and Bo Bedilion. The art exhibit will culminate in a slide show and reception from
6-9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19 in the Fine Art Gallery on campus.
Throughout his career, Ikeda has drawn inspiration and ideas from his surroundings and experiences. According to Ikeda, his works have reflected the organic aspects of nature, the ever-changing weather, and the art of dancing. Form and surface are woven together, creating an endless line of movement, which carries the eye of the viewer and continually provokes curiosity.
The community is invited to attend the free Sept. 19 event. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. For more information, contact Kenny Schneider at 719-549-2404 or firstname.lastname@example.org
