CSU–Pueblo accepting registration for 2008 X-Challenge event

Run, bike, throw, swing, or row your way to Colorado State University – Pueblo campus for the ninth annual X-Challenge scheduled on April 20. Registration is now underway for this extreme adventure, which consists of competition among two-person teams in three categories: male, female and co-ed. Four person relay teams will consist of one ropes course player, one cyclist, one runner, and one kayaker/runner.

This year’s competition will be a continuous adventure race format. The ninth annual X-Challenge Competition will begin at CSU-Pueblo’s Ropes Challenge Course with several low ropes challenge course events, followed by mountain biking through the Pueblo Greenway trail system, run orienteering in the Pueblo City Park, more cycling to the State Park, open water kayaking in the Pueblo Reservoir, and a short run in the State Park. The terrain covers the full gamut of terrain from hilly to flat and from dirt to grass to pavement. The challenge course events will be completed first to determine a starting position and then the rest of the events are completed in a continuous race.
