First-time students and transfer students who have been accepted to Colorado State University-Pueblo will have the opportunity to finalize their application process and to register for fall classes as part of Discover CSU-Pueblo Visit Day on Friday, March 7.
The CSU-Pueblo Admissions Office will host the day-long event from 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., in the Occhiato University Center Ballroom. Individuals who are interested in attending the University, but may not already have applied, also are welcomed to attend.
Attendees will begin the day at 8:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast and entertainment by the Soul Steppers, followed by Provost Russ Meyer, who will welcome first-time and transfer students and their families to campus.
Two break-out sessions are scheduled at 9:15 a.m. One will take the first-time student through the financial aid and scholarship processes, while the second session will guide transfer students in the steps necessary to transfer in credit that has been taken at other institutions. In addition, both groups of students will have an opportunity to meet with professors and academic advisors in order to complete their registration of classes.
Representatives from housing, Student Health Services, and athletics also will be on hand to answer any questions regarding their areas. Tours of the Bookstore, Library, and the overall campus will be provided by the Wolf Tracks Tour Co. Student Ambassadors. The Division of Student Life, including student clubs and organizations, will set up informational booths and distribute handouts about extra-curricular activities.
