Why are you interested in the position you are seeking?
I am seeking to be a Senator for a couple of reasons. I want to be more involved on campus and associating with student government is a great way to do that. I also desire to be a voice for the student body and make a difference at CSU-P by addressing student concerns. Electing me will not only benefit the student body, but it will also help me grow as a leader.
I am currently holding office in Lambda Chi Alpha as the High Iota, which is the safety and risk management chair for the fraternity. I am responsible for keeping the chapter safe and doing safety education sessions to reduce our insurance costs. I am also a desk assistant for the residence halls. In high school I was a leader in a few organizations including choir and Upward Bound.
I will address any student concerns and fight to satisfy the student body to my fullest ability. Some topics off the top of my head that I would like to discuss include parking, student fees, residence life, and entertainment. I’m only limited to 80 words or less for this response, so unfortunately I can’t make it as detailed as I would prefer, but feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions regarding my platform.
I haven’t obtained any notable awards in college quite yet, but I had quite a few during my senior year of high school. One of those was the National Choral Award for being an excellent student in choir. This award is only given once a year to one male and one female student. I was also granted numerous awards for leadership in the Upward Bound program.
So far I have been involved with a couple organizations here at CSU-P. I am a member of the Association for Computing Machinery, for fun I was a member of the concert and chamber choirs, and most importantly I am a brother of Lambda Chi Alpha. I always desire to be more involved with different organizations.
