Evan Martella - S4S (Students for Students)
Why are you interested in the position you are seeking?
I am passionately seeking an opportunity to create positive change at CSU-Pueblo and to inspire growth within myself. I view the chance to serve as a member of Associated Student Government as a fulfilling activity that will serve to accomplish both of these goals, and I am excited to expand my experience and knowledge through an increased understanding of governmental duties on campus. I am grateful for what CSU-Pueblo has given me, and I want to give back!
I have settled into a comfortable role as a natural leader in my classroom environments. I always seek to stimulate discussion and involve everyone in a collective effort. It is through this type of synthetic cooperation that the best possible solutions, answers, etc. can be found and utilized to their utmost potential. My experience as a Congressional intern further developed a sense of confidence in my ability to be a determined, focused and engaging leader.
My Platform is: Leading Students. Respecting Students. Serving Students. Representing Students.
I have received Dean’s List recognition following each semester of class work since I enrolled at CSU-Pueblo in Spring 2011.I have also been accepted as a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the Political Science Honor Society on campus.
In addition to Pi Sigma Alpha, I am currently seeking membership into Phi Alpha Theta, a History honor society on campus, as well as an officer position in CSU-Pueblo’s History Club. Last but not least, I am pursuing a role as a tutor at the Academic Resource Center. I am excited by an opportunity to be employed on campus and helping to support the efforts of my fellow students. That excitement is my impetus for pursuing a position in ASG.
